About the position
The Senior Marketing Communications Coordinator at Elevance Health is responsible for managing and guiding moderately complex Medicaid operational communication projects from inception to completion. This role combines marketing project management with writing, focusing on enhancing member retention, engagement, and satisfaction through effective communication workflows.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing projects through all phases: planning, research, writing/editing, proofreading, reviews, production, and archival.
- Acting as the primary interface for clients, collaborating with health plan/corporate business partners and subject matter experts.
- Evaluating requests and proposing communication solutions tailored to project needs.
- Organizing and facilitating project meetings with business partners to ensure alignment and progress.
- Overseeing workflow processes as the project manager, ensuring consistency and standardization across all materials.
- Coordinating review processes and renegotiating terms/deadlines to meet service level agreements and required timing.
- Working with team members to develop production schedules, allocate resources, request source files, estimate effort levels, and manage the production timeline.
- Ensuring that all communications adhere to state/market requirements; internal and external business, regulatory, privacy, and legal standards; corporate brand standards and approval processes.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies, supporting business initiatives such as standardization, automation, and transitioning to paperless operations.
- Researching, editing, and reviewing content for both printed materials (letters, forms, direct mail) and digital materials (website copy, talking points, email communications).
- Utilizing various organizational systems (Workfront, SNOW/RFRF, and data configuration systems) to ensure the seamless completion of projects.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
- Health or managed care experience preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PPT).

- Proven experience in leading and managing communication projects, preferably within the healthcare or government health (Medicare/Medicaid) sector.
- Experience with project management tools and systems (Workfront, EService SNOW).
