About the position

As a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist at ZEISS, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team that plays a crucial role in promoting the Meditec product line. This position involves strategic planning, development, and management of marketing communications programs aimed at enhancing the sales of Meditec products and services. You will be responsible for creating and implementing programs that align with sales targets and marketing objectives set by senior management and the overall marketing plan. Your role will require collaboration with various departments, including sales, advertising agencies, and media, to effectively leverage online marketing, tradeshow participation, and direct marketing initiatives. In this role, you will manage the production of marketing materials within the allocated budget and establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of these initiatives. You will oversee vendors and staff in the creation of sales aids and direct marketing campaigns, develop advertising programs, and manage media placements. Your expertise will be essential in recommending the most suitable media channels to market products effectively. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive marketing communications plans and tactics for assigned product lines and projects. This includes crafting product and promotional messaging based on customer targets and business objectives, coordinating Marcom plans, and collaborating with other teams to ensure successful execution of marketing activities. Your ability to negotiate project bids and manage vendor relationships will be critical to ensuring timely deliverables and maintaining high-quality standards across all marketing materials. Additionally, you will proactively suggest communication strategies that align with the company's objectives and maintain an organized archive of Marcom materials in compliance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing communications plans and tactics for assigned product lines and projects.
  • Develop product and promotional messaging and content based on positioning, customer targets, and business objectives.
  • Develop and coordinate Marcom plans and activities in support of the Meditec business and goals, including sales collateral, budgets, schedules, presentations, advertising, emails, mailers, banners, landing pages, etc.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other groups, such as Sales and Service Center communication teams, for successful execution of Marcom activities.
  • Negotiate competitive project bids and manage work with vendors ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Evaluate creative and ensure consistent look, messaging, and branding across marketing materials.
  • Proactively suggest communication strategies and tactics that deliver against the objectives.
  • Use best practices and knowledge to determine the right marketing vehicle and mix.
  • Maintain and archive Marcom materials as needed working closely with QA and regulatory.

Requirements

  • College degree in Business or Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Five plus (5+) years' experience in marketing/marketing communications.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing communication projects independently.
  • Ability to integrate digital communications into broader marketing program.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software and email marketing systems.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage up and across the organization.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
