About the position

Sasaki is seeking a full-time Senior Marketing Coordinator to join our Boston office, focusing specifically on the campus sector. This role is designed for a professional who can work independently on various pursuits, with limited guidance from the Campus Marketing Manager. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will collaborate closely with other Marketing Coordinators, sharing best practices and mentoring team members to enhance overall performance. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the thoughtful execution of high-quality marketing materials across various work streams. This includes creating proposals, qualifications documents, brochures, interview materials, advertisements, and master project pages. Additionally, you will assist the marketing manager in organizing and executing Sasaki's presence at conferences and networking events tailored to the campus market. Your role will also involve supporting the design teams in shaping presentations for potential clients, focusing on both delivery and content. You will facilitate strategy discussions with principals and senior staff regarding business development efforts tracked in our CRM system, and lead research initiatives on potential clients and competitors. This position is crucial for driving new work and enhancing Sasaki's visibility in the campus sector.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently on marketing pursuits with limited guidance from the Campus Marketing Manager.
  • Collaborate with other Marketing Coordinators to teach best practices and mentor team members.
  • Execute high-quality marketing materials including proposals, qualifications documents, brochures, interview materials, ads, and master project pages.
  • Assist the marketing manager in organizing and executing Sasaki's presence at conferences and networking events.
  • Support design teams in shaping presentations for potential clients, focusing on delivery and content.
  • Facilitate strategy discussions with principals and senior staff on business development efforts.
  • Lead research initiatives on potential clients and competitors.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high volume AEC firm producing multiple submissions at a time.
  • Demonstrated expertise in communicating strengths of a company with a large and complex portfolio of work, especially through the RFP/RFQ process.
  • Interest in the environment and urbanism, with a commitment to becoming a subject matter expert.
  • Extremely strong InDesign skills working within a branded template.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching peers.
  • Experience and comfort communicating with senior firm leaders.
  • Strong copy editing skills and experience reviewing documents for adherence to brand standards and grammar/spelling.
  • Ability to be a true team player and jump in where needed, manage multiple submissions and overlapping priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience using a CRM program or managing a database of project information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
  • Experience working within the campus market at a design firm.
  • Familiarity with OpenAsset, Deltek, or Salesforce.
  • Previous experience with Chicago Style is a plus.
  • Experience in planning or attending industry conferences or events.
  • Proven ability to work independently and seek out answers to complex problems.
