About the position

Pepper Construction is seeking a proactive and motivated candidate for the full-time position of Senior Marketing Coordinator in Indianapolis. This role is integral to the marketing team, offering diverse responsibilities that change daily. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will primarily lead the creation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position requires a strategic mindset, clear communication skills, strong writing abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent customer service skills and the capability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. In this role, the Senior Marketing Coordinator will manage and lead the response process for qualifications and proposals, which includes strategy development, organization, information gathering, writing, editing, design, layout, and production. Additionally, the coordinator will oversee the strategy and preparation for interview presentations, creating supporting content and materials. Participation in content strategy meetings is essential, as the coordinator will assist in gathering and writing stories about ongoing and completed projects for use in proposals, case studies, brochures, and the company website. The position also involves preparing introductory market overview brochures and supporting materials, collaborating with the team to develop awards and submissions materials, survey responses, project overviews, case studies, e-blasts, and social media content for various events and activities. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will coordinate staff and project photography, ensuring that visual marketing strategies comply with Pepper's brand guidelines. Furthermore, the role includes managing updates to the marketing database and creating marketing materials such as narratives, resumes, and project cards. The coordinator will also conduct market research as needed and provide internal support to departments, committees, and events, performing other job-related duties as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the response process for qualifications and proposals, including strategy development, organization, information gathering, writing, and editing text, design and layout and production
  • Manage and lead the strategy and preparation for interview presentations, in addition to creating supporting content / materials
  • Attend content strategy meetings and assist in gathering and writing stories on in-progress and completed projects for use in proposals, case studies, brochures, and website
  • Prepare introductory market overview brochures and supporting materials
  • Work with team to develop awards and submissions materials, survey responses, project overviews, case studies, e-blast and social media content for events and activities
  • Coordinate staff and project photography (identifying needs, scheduling, day-of coordination, editing and governance)
  • Ensure visual marketing strategies are in compliance with Pepper brand guidelines
  • Manage updates to the marketing database and creation of marketing materials i.e., narratives, resumes and project cards
  • Organize and conduct market research (as needed)
  • Provide internal support to departments, committees, and events
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary

Requirements

  • Prior experience working within the A/E/C industry
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • Minimum four years relevant experience (required)
  • Ability to accurately type 50 WPM
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe InDesign is required
  • Strong creative graphic design, writing and proofing skills (AP style), with an emphasis on quality and accuracy as evidenced by samples (required)
  • Experience with a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, video editing and passion for photography preferred
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, savvy time management skills and the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent customer service and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ability to think critically and exercise independent judgment and discretion
  • Strategic mindset, attention to detail and creative problem-solver
  • Some travel to local jobsites may be required occasionally
