About the position

As a Senior Marketing Copywriter at Fisher Investments, you will play a pivotal role in our in-house creative agency, Fishtank. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. You will report directly to the Assistant Vice President of Global Marketing Content and will be instrumental in driving our marketing initiatives forward. Your primary responsibility will be to write and edit engaging advertisements and branded content across various platforms, including digital, print, video, radio, and email, targeting both U.S. and international markets. In your day-to-day activities, you will collaborate closely with designers, creative agencies, media specialists, and marketing strategists to develop innovative ad campaigns. Your expertise in creative messaging and strategy will be essential in generating leads and enhancing our marketing efforts based on data-driven insights. You will oversee content marketing projects, which may include whitepapers, landing pages, online calculators, and ad campaigns, ensuring that all content aligns with our brand's voice and objectives. Your role will also involve editing your own work and that of others across various content types, including short-form and long-form pieces, video scripts, audio content, and user experience (UX) materials. You will be expected to apply insights from marketing data and consumer research to refine your writing and continuously improve our content quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating a steady stream of proactive content ideas to explore new avenues for success, all while adhering to the Fisher style guide to maintain consistency in messaging that addresses our clients' retirement and investing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Write copy that inspires action and fits creative briefs for digital ads, email, physical mail, print ads, landing pages, and digital UX.
  • Oversee content marketing projects including whitepapers, landing pages, online calculators, digital experiences, ad campaigns, and more.
  • Collaborate with US and international teams, designers, and external creative agencies to develop fresh marketing materials and scale creative production across the globe.
  • Edit own work and others' across a variety of content types—short-form, long-form, video, audio, and UX—to help us continuously improve and adopt higher standards.
  • Find and apply insights from marketing data, consumer research, and leading marketing practices to your writing.
  • Create a steady stream of proactive content ideas to find new avenues for success.
  • Use sharp attention to detail and a deep understanding of grammar to improve copy and catch typos and errors before they walk out the door.
  • Learn and live by the Fisher style guide to ensure all creative fits Fisher's messaging strategy and speaks to our prospective client's retirement and investing needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' professional writing and editing experience in Marketing or Finance (ideally both!).
  • Experience in marketing and writing for or working in Financial Services, ideally investing.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of financial services/investing concepts and vocabulary.
  • Great attention to detail, analytical and creative.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Familiar with marketing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Bynder, and Generative AI.
  • Experience managing other writers or outside agencies.
