As the Senior Marketing Event Manager at S&P Global, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial and marketing strategy through the execution of in-person events. This position is crucial for supporting demand generation, retention, and enhancing brand recognition. You will be responsible for leading the entire lifecycle of event management, from conceptualization to execution and measurement. This includes organizing a variety of events such as executive round tables, partner/customer sponsorships, and large-scale trade shows and conferences, all aimed at building sales pipelines and driving brand awareness. Your responsibilities will encompass all logistical aspects of event planning, requiring a strong ability to project manage from start to finish. This includes strategic engagement, theme development, planning logistics, coordinating guest attendance, and managing pre/post-event communication plans. You will also be tasked with tracking costs and managing budgets effectively. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with internal teams to support team meetings and internal initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the swag strategy, ensuring that memorable and valuable takeaways are provided at events, as well as managing onboarding kits and branded inventory for internal needs. Success in this role hinges on your initiative, organizational skills, and ability to think strategically while also being hands-on. You will need to communicate clearly and negotiate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong attention to detail in project planning and vendor management. This role requires a balanced knowledge of event management and general marketing campaign principles, making it essential to thrive in a fast-paced environment while also being able to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
