As the Senior Marketing Event Manager at S&P Global, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial and marketing strategy through the execution of in-person events. This position is crucial for supporting demand generation, retention, and enhancing brand recognition. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of event management, from conceptualizing and developing event themes to executing logistics and measuring outcomes. Your role will encompass a variety of events, including executive round tables, partner/customer sponsorships, and large-scale trade shows and conferences, all aimed at building sales pipelines and driving brand awareness. In this role, you will manage all logistical aspects of planning and hosting in-person events. This includes project management from start to finish, which involves strategic engagement, planning logistics, coordinating guest attendance, and developing pre/post-event communication plans. You will also be responsible for tracking costs and managing budgets effectively. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with internal teams to support team meetings and internal initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the swag strategy, ensuring that memorable and valuable takeaways are provided at events, as well as managing onboarding kits and branded inventory for internal needs. Success in this position requires a high level of initiative, organization, and the ability to think strategically while also being a hands-on doer. You will need to communicate clearly and negotiate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong attention to detail in project planning and vendor management. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and collaborating across teams will be essential for achieving success in this role.
