As the Senior Marketing Event Manager at S&P Global, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's commercial and marketing strategy through the execution of in-person events. This position is crucial for supporting demand generation, retention, and enhancing brand recognition. You will be responsible for leading the entire lifecycle of event management, from conceptualization to execution and measurement. This includes organizing a variety of events such as executive round tables, partner/customer sponsorships, and large-scale trade shows and conferences, all aimed at building sales pipelines and driving brand awareness. Your primary responsibilities will include managing all logistics associated with planning and hosting in-person events. This entails project management from start to finish, which includes strategic engagement, theme development, planning logistics, coordinating guest attendance, and creating pre/post-event communication plans. You will also be tasked with tracking costs and managing budgets effectively. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with internal teams to support team meetings and internal initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the swag strategy, ensuring that memorable and valuable takeaways are provided at events, as well as managing onboarding kits and branded inventory for internal needs. Success in this role requires a high level of initiative, organization, and the ability to think strategically while also being a hands-on doer. You will need to work collaboratively with various internal teams and executive leadership, possessing a balanced knowledge of event management and general marketing campaign principles. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, as you will interact with numerous internal and external stakeholders and manage vendor relationships to execute top-notch events.
