About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager at Genentech plays a pivotal role in delivering the Breast Marketing Vision, particularly in preparation for the launch of a new molecular entity in the HR+ breast cancer space. This position requires a seasoned marketer who can autonomously lead advanced strategy and execution of patient launch activities while developing a franchise strategy for all patient initiatives within the breast portfolio. The role involves close collaboration with various internal teams and external partners to ensure successful marketing campaigns and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the launch molecule value proposition, positioning, and the end-to-end integrated customer and patient experience.
  • Leverage customer/patient insights including journeys, personas, and other data to drive the product's value proposition and inform the optimal integrated customer experience.
  • Identify key internal network partners and external resources, aligning them to the marketing strategy and critical KPIs.
  • Execute seamless, well-integrated marketing campaigns across multiple platforms and channels.
  • Optimize all marketing content, including messaging and channel mix, for target customers.
  • Create personal promotional messages and resources for field-based channels in coordination with non-personal messages and resources.
  • Partner with agencies and the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) to ensure compliant and effective promotional tactics.
  • Accountable for high quality, compliant execution across all marketing platforms and customer types.
  • Measure marketing performance through various indicators to optimize campaigns and drive customer and business outcomes.
  • Contribute to initiatives that have broader organizational impact across the 1Marketing Function.
  • Lead and/or participate in flexibly deployed work teams across the CMG network, contributing novel ideas or approaches.
  • Partner with key patient teams to ensure awareness of customer insights and brand strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience, with at least 3 years in a marketing role, or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience including 2 years in a marketing role may be considered.
  • Experience leveraging strong customer understanding including developing/utilizing personas and customer journeys.
  • Strong understanding of partners and their roles in effective marketing collaboration.
  • Proven ability to articulate business needs or strategies behind campaigns to engage key stakeholders.
  • Experience with sole ownership of tactics or pieces, from content development to execution.
  • Experience leading/managing cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Ability to navigate the PRC process effectively and compliantly.
  • Experience contributing to integrated customer experiences across audiences and channels.
  • Experience managing AOR (Agency of Record) SOWs + POs and participating in marketing mix analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or other related graduate level degree preferred.
  • Marketing experience in other relevant industries.
  • Experience in creating marketing strategies that strengthen market positioning and drive high-value outcomes.
  • Knowledge of critical customer types and their end-to-end experiences.
