About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager at Perkins Coie LLP is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and business development strategies for the Energy & Natural Resources Sector. This role focuses on increasing visibility and business opportunities while managing and mentoring marketing staff. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the execution of marketing initiatives to support the firm's growth in this sector.

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain relationships with chairs and key stakeholders.
  • Manage overall operations of industry groups.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned groups and monitor industry news.
  • Engage with clients and prospects to identify growth opportunities.
  • Attend business development meetings with partners and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute marketing and business development plans.
  • Track industry clients/prospects in Salesforce and conduct research for strategic change.
  • Coordinate response strategy for rankings and submissions.
  • Provide strategic guidance on proposals and marketing materials.
  • Evaluate, plan, organize, and host relevant events, overseeing all aspects.
  • Manage external and internal communications, including client updates and newsletters.
  • Support client leads of key clients to expand existing relationships.
  • Manage marketing budgets and develop analytics for expenditure review.
  • Mentor marketing staff and oversee personnel issues.
  • Lead initiatives to improve the overall marketing function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, JD or other relevant graduate degree) highly desirable.
  • Experience in legal or professional services, and/or experience in the Energy & Natural Resources sector highly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing large- and small-scale events.
  • General understanding of the law profession business model.
