About the position

Workrise is hiring a Marketing Operations Manager who will be responsible for designing, building, executing, analyzing, tracking, and continuously improving marketing campaigns and driving operational excellence within the marketing team. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who is analytical, flexible, and great at program management. This person will be proactive and curious, and will have expert problem-solving and experimentation skills. This role will be exempt and will report to the Sr. Director, Marketing. This role has the unique opportunity to define how we build and optimize our systems and processes in order to create the foundation for future growth at Workrise. The Marketing Operations Manager will own the strategy for the marketing technology stack to ensure that we are using our technology effectively and that it is driving business value. This includes technology governance, training, and adoption, as well as identifying and building the most optimal workflows between marketing tech, sales tech, and product tech. The role requires continuous improvement of workflows and managing the automation systems that support marketing campaigns. The manager will ensure the ability to track marketing effectiveness and performance metrics, build and execute campaigns in partnership with the demand generation, brand, and product marketing teams, and support campaign planning to ensure that workflows work within the tech stack and that it is set up to collect key performance metrics. Additionally, the Marketing Operations Manager will design lead scoring and attribution methodologies, program manage the construction and launch of campaigns, facilitate accurate and actionable marketing data and reporting, and own weekly analysis of all active campaigns. The role also involves leading the measurement of post-campaign readouts and analysis, executing all email marketing, overseeing the email calendar, and managing the strategy for AB testing. The manager will ensure the quality of emails sent to prospects and customers, track and analyze email performance KPIs, and manage the marketing database to maintain its cleanliness and compliance. This position is crucial for supporting the marketing team optimization and project managing the quarterly and annual strategic planning exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the strategy for the marketing technology stack to ensure effective use and business value.
  • Identifying and building optimal workflows between marketing tech, sales tech, and product tech.
  • Continuously improving workflows and managing automation systems that support marketing campaigns.
  • Ensuring the ability to track marketing effectiveness and performance metrics.
  • Building and executing campaigns in partnership with demand gen, brand, and product marketing teams.
  • Supporting campaign planning to ensure workflows work within the tech stack and collect key performance metrics.
  • Designing lead scoring and attribution methodologies and implementing them.
  • Program managing the construction and launch of campaigns to ensure timely launches that meet strategic goals.
  • Facilitating accurate and actionable marketing data and reporting for data-driven decisions.
  • Building reporting to measure marketing performance and ROI for the marketing team and company leadership.
  • Owning weekly analysis of all active campaigns, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
  • Leading the measurement of post-campaign readouts and analysis.
  • Owning the execution of all email marketing and overseeing the email calendar and testing roadmap.
  • Executing email campaigns within Hubspot, including segment building and creative testing.
  • Managing the strategy for AB testing and executing tests on content, timing, segmentation, and frequency.
  • Ensuring the quality of emails sent to prospects and customers and optimizing for delivery and inbox placement.
  • Tracking and analyzing email performance KPIs and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining transactional, nurture, and trigger email campaigns.
  • Managing the marketing database and ensuring its cleanliness and compliance.
  • Project managing quarterly and annual strategic planning exercises.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in a Marketing Operations role connecting systems, reporting, and optimizing.
  • B2B Demand Generation Experience is a must.
  • Hubspot marketing automation, Salesforce, and Demandbase experience required.
  • Proficiency in setting up sophisticated automations and integrating systems with other technologies, like Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics.
  • Exposure to advertising platforms integrated into the tech stack and reporting: Demandbase/6Sense, Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Bing Ads.
  • Technically capable with a desire to document and improve processes.
  • Highly data-driven, leveraging analytics and quantitative methods for decision making.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Courageous, discerning, curious, and agile, believing in better ways to get things done.
  • Proactive in flagging issues ahead of time and moving with urgency.
  • Ability to think ahead and build in buffers to avoid last-minute crunches.
