About the position
The Senior Materials Manager at Venture Global LNG is responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring efficient and effective execution of materials management for construction projects. This role involves negotiating with vendors, managing procurement analytics, and maintaining records of goods ordered and received, all while reporting to the Construction Director.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with material vendors while consulting with legal department and senior management
- Manage the qualification and evaluation process for vendors of materials, subcontractors, and service providers
- Communicate and enforce procurement policies and procedures to project team
- Oversee the development and review of all procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables
- Manage the maintenance of records of goods ordered and received; oversee all Accounts Payable reconciliation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of contract negotiations and legal terminology
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry
- 8+ years' experience in construction procurement
- Demonstrated ability to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions
