About the position

The Senior Mechanical Engineer at IMEG Corp. is responsible for leading and mentoring less experienced staff while managing complex projects. This role involves making significant design recommendations, planning design work, and ensuring quality control across projects. The position emphasizes both technical expertise and project management skills, with a focus on client engagement and business development.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and training for junior staff.
• Make major design recommendations and decisions with minimal input from senior staff.
• Plan design work by discipline for various project sizes and assign duties to staff.
• Review correspondence prepared by junior staff.
• Participate actively in quality control of projects.
• Serve as Project Manager on large complex projects or multiple smaller projects.
• Identify prospective clients and assist in marketing efforts to develop new clients.
• Prepare proposals for services and participate in client presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Minimum of 7 years of qualifying experience.
• Mastery of the technical aspects of mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrated aptitude to design and manage major projects.
• Ability to mentor, motivate, and lead others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
