About The Position

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing custom machinery and robotics tailored for various industries, including automotive, consumer goods, and food packaging. This role emphasizes creativity and independent judgment to develop functional designs that align with customer specifications, utilizing a strong foundation in pneumatics, electrical systems, and hydraulics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in 3D design, preferably using SolidWorks.
• Strong project management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines through strong problem-solving skills.
• Professional demeanor when interfacing with customers.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, detail, and release custom 'one-off' machinery.
• Apply mechanical theory, statutory codes, and equipment knowledge in daily work.
• Ensure designs comply with OSHA, ANSI, and RIA safety and ergonomics standards.
• Analyze mechanical drawings provided by customers.
• Understand industrial and GD&T tolerances related to product design and assembly.
• Design and size mechanical/electromechanical components (chains, sprockets, belts, motors, etc.).
• Manage project timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure project success.
• Lead design teams and provide direction to other engineers.
