About the position

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at our Woman Owned and Operated MEP firm, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and management of various commercial and airport projects throughout the NYC area. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the design meet the required standards and specifications. Your expertise will be crucial in performing your own drafting, calculations, and equipment specifications, which are essential components of the engineering process. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will also take on a mentorship role, guiding junior engineers in their professional development and ensuring they meet project deadlines. This leadership aspect of the role is vital as it contributes to the growth of our team and the overall success of our projects. You will be expected to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and management of mechanical engineering projects from start to finish.
  • Perform drafting, calculations, and equipment specifications for projects.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in NYC Buildings Design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
