About the position

The Senior Media Planner at Saatchi & Saatchi is responsible for leading and executing media strategy and planning for a Tier II regional automotive advertising account. This role requires a passion for media, a proven track record in implementing successful media tactics, and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teammates and agency partners to develop effective media strategies that achieve measurable results for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop annual media strategy and present it to clients with persuasive rationale.
  • Work closely with the Associate Media Director on tracking and reporting overall campaign performance of digital and traditional media tactics.
  • Oversee and implement media strategies and plans for 17 markets in a specified regional territory.
  • Gather and prepare necessary materials and research regularly.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to understand optimization needs and implement plan revisions.
  • Develop media points of view (POVs) based on client and account team requests.
  • Create and actualize flowcharts and related documents such as media budgets, post-buy analyses, and optimization reports.
  • Implement plans for assigned markets and analyze media plans to provide recommendations.

Requirements

  • Experience negotiating media packages across various media aspects to meet client objectives.
  • Understanding of digital and traditional media planning principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to keep the Director of Communications informed consistently.
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain productivity at an expedient pace.
  • Excellent math skills and proficiency in working with numbers.
  • Detail-oriented with a high attention to accuracy.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with media resources such as Mediatools, MediaBank/OX, Kantar, and Nielsen is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in retail advertising and/or the automotive category is a plus.
