About the position

The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Rheumatology at Johnson & Johnson is a field-based role responsible for providing scientific information and education to healthcare professionals and internal partners. This position focuses on building relationships with opinion leaders and healthcare providers in the New England territory, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines while supporting research initiatives and strategic planning within the rheumatology portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Provide fair balanced, objective scientific information and education to opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• Build and maintain relationships with identified opinion leaders and healthcare providers in the assigned territory.
• Develop and manage a territory strategic plan that includes educational activities with healthcare professionals and institutions.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals and integrate scientific data into practice.
• Conduct research initiatives and engage with external investigators regarding unsolicited research inquiries.
• Lead scientific or strategic projects within the Immunology field and identify educational gaps.
• Participate in team calls, trainings, and scientific conferences to stay updated on the current scientific landscape.
• Perform administrative requirements accurately and in compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• PharmD, PhD, MD, or other advanced medical degree with at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in the therapeutic area.
• Experience in building relationships with healthcare professionals and opinion leaders.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the rheumatology therapeutic area.
• Advanced medical degree such as Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with relevant clinical experience.
