Responsibilities

• Perform specialized and complex diagnostic procedures in the laboratory.
• Accurately prepare reagents and maintain proper inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Interpret and correlate clinical test results with patient history and clinical conditions.
• Communicate stat and critical lab results effectively.
• Conduct quality control, routine maintenance, and instrument troubleshooting.
• Maintain knowledge of computer functions associated with testing and workflow management.
• Assist in the research and development of new or updated technologies.
• Train new and existing employees on procedures and instrumentation.
• Act as a technical consultant to technologists, technicians, and students.
• Teach in the School of Medical Technology and Lab rotations as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Sciences).
• 4+ years of relevant Medical Technology Laboratory experience required.
• Previous experience in a laboratory supervisory or leadership position preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
