About the position

The Senior Member of Technical Staff in Communications Systems Development is a technical leadership role focused on the development of communication systems, algorithms, prototypes, and chipsets for Automotive SerDes products. This position involves understanding industry standards, addressing channel impairments, and leading the development of proprietary communication specifications to enhance performance while meeting customer EMC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of standards such as ASA Motion Link.
• Analyze channel loss, attenuation, reflection, noise, and other impairments including cross-talk and EMI in automotive environments.
• Define and develop a new communication systems specification for UTP to achieve performance comparable to ASA Speed Grade-3.
• Lead the development of a working prototype for high-speed communications over UTP.
• Create communications systems level specifications, documents, and presentations for various teams including Analog Design, SoC architecture, and Technical/Product Marketing.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in communications systems development and algorithm design.
• Strong understanding of automotive communication standards and protocols.
• Experience with high-speed communication technologies and EMC requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Serializer/Deserializer (SerDes) technology.
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards and practices.
• Knowledge of analog design and SoC architecture.
