About the position

The Senior Merchandise Data Analyst plays a crucial role in the Merchandise Operations Business Intelligence team, focusing on delivering effective data and analytical solutions to support the objectives of the Merchandising organization. This position involves collaboration with various cross-functional partners and IT teams to ensure that business requirements are met through technology solutions, enhancing visibility and optimizing merchandising processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Store Operations to deliver holistic solutions.
• Act as a liaison between business requirements and technology solutions, working closely with IT teams to understand merchandising and BI applications.
• Gather requirements, develop, test, and deploy solutions that enhance visibility and optimize merchandising processes.
• Focus on key areas including Inventory Management, Forecasting & Replenishment, Order Management, and Product Disposition.
• Prioritize requests for projects, enhancements, ad-hoc requests, documentation, and system testing in collaboration with MerchOps BI leadership.
• Engage in skill development and training for GCP, Python, and Power BI as team needs evolve.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data analysis and business intelligence, particularly in merchandising contexts.
• Strong knowledge of Inventory Management, Forecasting & Replenishment, Order Management, and Product Disposition processes.
• Experience with HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server databases.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and WEBI.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with GCP, Python, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in a retail or merchandising environment.
