About the position

Are you an expert in metering systems and SCADA integration looking for a high-impact role? We are seeking a Senior Metering & SCADA Engineer to lead advanced technical initiatives related to metering, regulatory compliance, and system optimization at APS. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and regulatory alignment of our metering and revenue gathering systems, directly contributing to operational excellence and market participation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of SCADA and metering initiatives, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Apply expertise in metering regulations, including California ISO (CAISO) and the Energy Imbalance Market (EIM), to ensure compliance and system accuracy.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing innovative solutions to complex challenges in metering technology, data acquisition, and grid modernization.
• Analyze, diagnose, and implement improvements for metering accuracy, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
• Provide expert guidance to leadership, influencing critical business and engineering decisions with deep technical insights.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or related applied science discipline from an ABET accredited institution.
• Eight (8) years working experience in Engineering-related positions.

Nice-to-haves

• Problem analysis/resolution techniques.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, practices, methods and safety standards in the area of applicable engineering discipline.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Experience in nuclear industry for jobs at Palo Verde.
• Professional Engineer licensure.
