About the position

The Senior Mid Market Account Executive is responsible for managing a portfolio of 6 to 35 corporate accounts within the Mid-Market segment. This role focuses on developing strategic account management plans to increase market share and drive sales for Marriott properties. The executive will work closely with stakeholders in Sales and Marketing to implement strategies that enhance business travel, group, catering, and extended stay revenues. The position requires strong relationship-building skills to maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides total account management support for 6-35 corporate accounts in the Mid-Market segment.
  • Develops and implements overall account strategy for assigned accounts.
  • Executes sales strategy to achieve local market hotel goals and grow revenues.
  • Retains and expands account revenue through total account penetration and margin management.
  • Identifies and solicits new accounts in coordination with the Sales and Marketing Planning & Support team.
  • Facilitates business transient pricing in partnership with the Corporate Business Travel team.
  • Conducts and coordinates site inspections for hotels as required.
  • Maintains accurate customer, account, and opportunity data in relevant systems.
  • Achieves account revenue and sales goals as defined by leadership.
  • Engages in property-related events to support account development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, or a 2-year degree in a related field with no work experience required.
  • Preferred: 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Lodging sales experience is preferred.
  • Account management experience is preferred.
