About the position

Ursa Major was founded to address a critical shortfall in the U.S. industrial base and bring a new model to aerospace and defense systems: we design and manufacture the world's leading propulsion systems for space, hypersonic applications, and missile systems. Our products and technologies require an extraordinary team - a team that will mold tomorrow's technologies while deploying today's best. We are an intrinsically motivated team that has a passion for solving problems and empowering each other every day to develop our skills, knowing that there is always room for growth. Delivering a qualified product is just the beginning. The Senior Mission Integration Engineer is central to customer mission success starting with engine delivery and contract execution through flight. You will be the engine technical expert on-site to assist customers with integration, operation, testing and flight of Ursa engines. Typical assignments include: acting as the point of contact for customer integration and contract maintenance, establishing and ensuring compliance to the Interface Control Document (ICD), authoring and executing integrated test procedures, engine inspections, hardware troubleshooting, briefing technical issues to the customer and providing overall program status, and multi-week test and flight campaigns on-location. A successful candidate will be eager to learn about rocket engines, enjoy hands-on work and solving complex problems, enjoy work-related travel, and be comfortable communicating technical and programmatic information to customers.
