About the position

The Senior Mobile Apps Developer at Conduent is responsible for developing and supporting tolling back-office products that facilitate the collection of tolls for major tolling agencies. This role involves translating project requirements into mobile applications, managing the app development lifecycle, and collaborating with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality solutions. The position requires a strong background in mobile app development, particularly in iOS and Android, and emphasizes clean coding, usability testing, and effective communication with users and team members.

Responsibilities

• Translate project requirements into mobile applications through clean coding.
• Design next-generation models of apps with high-quality mobile and application development.
• Manage the entire evolution process of the app, from ideation to execution and improvisation.
• Collaborate with other mobile app engineers to deliver optimal solutions.
• Perform periodic testing and improve the usability of the mobile app.
• Build design interfaces according to client needs.
• Fix bugs and performance issues as an iOS and Android mobile developer.
• Develop new features as a mobile software developer.
• Collaborate with junior mobile app developers, back-end and front-end developers, and designers throughout the app lifecycle.
• Communicate with users to understand their exact requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mobile app development with a strong portfolio of successful iOS and Android applications.
• Extensive experience with native development (Swift, Kotlin) and cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Cordova).
• Experience with Xcode (iOS) and Android Studio (Android).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration techniques.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration.
• Understanding of unit testing and UI testing frameworks (e.g., XCTest, Espresso).
• Experience with local databases like SQLite or Realm and remote data handling.
• Knowledge of mobile design guidelines and best practices in UI/UX design.
• Proficient in RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Firebase) and mobile app security best practices.
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting others.
• Experience with a recognized software development lifecycle methodology.
• Good interpersonal skills to interface successfully with project managers, clients, and office personnel.
