About the position

As a Senior Mobile Engineer specializing in Android at Dapper, you will be instrumental in developing high-performance mobile applications that integrate blockchain technology with gaming. This role emphasizes user experience and product development, aiming to create engaging mobile experiences for a global audience. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of innovative features for our flagship blockchain-based digital collectibles platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine high-performance mobile applications running on blockchain
• Put users first and ship features that surprise and delight
• Contribute to the ideation, technical design, implementation, and testing of product features
• Craft every interaction with our product to be polished, memorable, and engaging
• Evaluate technical trade-offs for every decision
• Adopt best practices in software development and refine workflows
• Identify areas in the technical stack to improve and prioritize rollout with the team
• Build reusable components that are easy to use, maintain, and extend

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
• Solid understanding of Kotlin/Java internals
• Proficiency with multithreading and performance optimization techniques for Android
• Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms and data structures) and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of software design patterns and Android best practices
• Experience working on consumer-facing mobile products
• Ability to ship high-quality code in a fast-paced environment
• Experience owning projects end-to-end and delivering them by hitting key milestones
• Familiarity with Material Design guidelines and Android UI/UX best practices
• Strong product sense and eye for pixel-perfect implementation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
