About the position
The Senior MQ Engineer/Lead is responsible for designing, installing, upgrading, migrating, and configuring various MQ systems including RMQ, Oracle MQ, and IBM MQ. This role involves developing MQ architecture and enterprise-level strategies, administering MQ clusters, and implementing monitoring solutions. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of security best practices within middleware environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and install MQ systems including RMQ, Oracle MQ, and IBM MQ.
- Upgrade and migrate existing MQ systems as needed.
- Develop MQ architecture and enterprise-level strategies for MQ deployment.
- Administer and manage MQ clusters effectively.
- Implement horizontal and vertical clustering for MQ systems.
- Develop and implement MQ-level monitoring solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MQ-related issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure security best practices are implemented within middleware environments.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in MQ technologies including RMQ, Oracle MQ, and IBM MQ.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in middleware environments.
- Knowledge of security concepts and best practices in middleware.
- Experience in developing and implementing monitoring solutions for MQ.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, Cloud Watch, and Cloud Formation.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins and Git.
