About the position

The Senior Named Account Executive for the Finance Vertical/FSI at Cloudflare is responsible for driving sales into named accounts across the finance sector in the UK. This role involves strategic selling activities, including proactive engagement with large accounts, detailed account planning, and relationship building to successfully close sales campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology solutions sales, particularly in network security and CDN services, and will work closely with senior decision-makers to deliver compelling value propositions for Cloudflare's offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales into named accounts across the Finance Vertical/FSI in the UK.
  • Engage in strategic selling activities to penetrate target named large accounts.
  • Conduct detailed account planning and relationship building.
  • Lead effective sales campaigns to successful closure.
  • Manage contract negotiations with key accounts.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline to track progress and opportunities.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of direct B2B selling experience and selling to named accounts.
  • Relevant direct experience and relationships within the largest Finance enterprise accounts in the UK.
  • Direct experience selling network security and/or CDN solutions and services preferred.
  • Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking and how the internet works.
  • Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus.
  • Aptitude for learning technical concepts and terms.
  • Prior experience being part of an early sales team for a US-based SaaS company in the UK.
