The Senior .NET Application Developer position is a critical role within a prestigious investment management company located in San Antonio, TX. This is a 12-month contract opportunity that requires a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in full-stack development of web-based, n-tier applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for application development, bug fixes, enhancements, and providing L3 production support. This role demands a collaborative approach, working closely with both IT and business users to ensure that applications meet the needs of the organization and its clients. In this position, the developer will engage in problem management and incident management, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement in application performance and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#, .NET Framework 4.8, .NET 6, ASP.NET, and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), along with experience in MVVM, IIS, SQL Server, LINQ, and Web API. Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Bitbucket, Visual Studio, Bamboo, and Git is also essential. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field, with a proven track record in Agile and DevOps methodologies, as well as experience in an Onshore/Offshore model. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as the developer will need to effectively communicate with both technical and business users. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience, is required, and working knowledge in cloud technologies is considered a plus.
