About the position

Procom is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join the Houston Commodities Risk Technology team. This role focuses on developing services and auxiliary components for a proprietary front-office trading platform that is currently undergoing a green-field re-engineering phase. The developer will work closely with stakeholders and internal technology teams to enhance the platform and ensure a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with stakeholders such as traders, finance, and business unit managers for day-to-day support including enhancements and issue resolution.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performing and fault-tolerant C#/.NET and Python services.
• Collaborate with the Markets Quantitative Analytics (MQA) team to integrate analytics pricing models with the Risk Platform.
• Work with the Commodities Market Data (CMD) team to utilize market data for risk computation.
• Integrate other supporting libraries such as Market Data and Trade Repository libraries into the Risk Platform.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in frontend technology, especially in the React ecosystem.

Requirements

• 10+ years of proven hands-on experience with C#, SQL Server, and Python, preferably with multi-threading.
• Solid Commodities Risk background and experience interacting with trading desks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Commodities risk and PnL background with different commodities assets such as Crude Oil, Natural Gas, and Power.
• Experience with distributed services architecture.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Orleans Framework.
• Experience in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and Automated Deployment environment with tools such as Jenkins, OpenShift/Lightspeed, TeamCity, uDeploy.
