About the position

The Senior IT Application Solution Architect plays a critical role in guiding and defining the architecture program that aligns with business strategy across multiple IT projects. This position involves collaborating with various business areas to develop future-state architecture, ensuring its effective adoption, and acting as a visionary to define the direction for future projects. The architect is responsible for the entire project life cycle, from kickoff through requirements analysis, design, and implementation, while ensuring best practices and reusability in application and server development.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and guidance for architecture programs that support business strategy.
• Facilitate the development of future-state architecture and ensure its effective adoption.
• Interface across all business areas to define the direction for future projects.
• Conceive strategies and solutions, build consensus, and execute solutions.
• Create formal Conceptual and Solution Architectures and present them to senior staff and the Enterprise Architecture Review Council.
• Serve as a Change Agent to challenge the status quo and promote improved methods and newer technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
• 8 to 15 years of experience in multiple IT areas.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant technology architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience with Network Access Control (NAC).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a Solution Architect for two or more large-scale, heterogeneous IT programs.
• Demonstrated success in developing solutions that solve business problems.
• Experience in the design and implementation of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) in an enterprise setting.
• Experience in the transportation industry.
• Broad IT experience in networking technologies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks.
