About the position

WiseTech Global is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide critical network support within a Linux environment for their North American data center. The role involves troubleshooting network issues, enhancing network performance, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure effective execution of network projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with BGP networking and a strong background in data center and campus networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical network operations support to diagnose and mitigate data center network incidents.
• Troubleshoot network connection issues, including device configuration and low-level application interaction, minimizing downtime across the network infrastructure.
• Contribute to the strategic vision of network operations, assisting in the design and implementation of robust network solutions.
• Collaborate with the Information Service team and external teams to ensure effective execution of network projects.
• Regularly analyze network performance and improve connectivity through configuration adjustments and hardware upgrades.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge and experience designing, engineering, and troubleshooting in data center and campus networks (spine-leaf networks preferred).
• Advanced experience with designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting WAN/LAN technologies.
• Solid knowledge of Routing and switching including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Knowledge of EVPN & VXLAN is highly preferred.
• Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Palo Alto or equivalent enterprise-wide stateful deep packet inspection firewalls.
• Good knowledge of Linux network technology (FRRouting skills preferred).

Nice-to-haves

• Desirable vendor product exposure - Cumulus Linux, Cisco, Meraki.
• Vendor/Industry Certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
