About the position

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems for a prime contractor providing Cloud-Based Analytic Software and DSP solutions to the Intelligence Community and DoD. This role involves working with a team of skilled professionals to develop production-quality software applications and field software systems, ensuring robust network performance and security.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain network systems.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Manage and maintain Juniper and/or Cisco networking devices.
  • Ensure network security through firewalls and access control lists (ACLs).
  • Work with multiple network protocols including TCP/IP, IPv4, UDP, and TLS.
  • Support Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in Network Engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Juniper (preferred) and/or Cisco networking devices.
  • Proficiency with multiple network protocols, including TCP/IP, IPv4, UDP, TLS, VPLS, GRE.
  • Experience configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
  • Knowledge of EVPN, multicast, STP, VTP, VLANs, and trunking.
  • Familiarity with network security measures including firewalls and ACLs.
  • Active TS/SCI or above government clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Juniper Certifications (JNCIA/S/P/E).
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP).
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
  • Experience with networking Linux and/or BSD systems.
