About the position

SLAIT Consulting is seeking a Firewall Security Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Richmond, VA. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing firewalls and site-to-site VPN tunnels, with a focus on customer-centric solutions. The engineer will be responsible for planning, documenting, and configuring complex firewall and VPN solutions, primarily using Juniper and Cisco technologies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for configuring Cisco ACS, Cisco ASA, and RSA.
• Configure using ASDM and CSM as well as via command line.
• Configure SWAP Portals.
• Experience with change management is required.
• Work independently and as part of a group.
• Create and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or five years equivalent experience.
• Five years of experience configuring Cisco firewalls.
• Five years of experience using Cisco ASDM.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems.
• CCNP - Security Certification.
• CISSP - Certification.
• CVPNSS - Certification.
