The Senior Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing the network of the Cyber Program. This position requires a seasoned professional who can lead efforts in planning, development, implementation, problem resolution, and administration of network systems. The Senior Network Engineer will serve as a technical expert in network system policy and planning, which includes the development of policies and both short and long-range planning strategies. The contractor will be responsible for making informed recommendations on proposed Network Systems Engineering based on a thorough understanding of existing capabilities and a detailed analysis of alternatives. In addition, the Senior Network Engineer will define future focus areas by actively participating in the development of various roadmaps and technology strategies aimed at solving complex networking problems. This role will also involve exercising responsibility for assignments that pertain to the strategic goals, policy, and planning requirements for the Division. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Management, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. The contractor must meet the DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements and have extensive experience in configuring and operating cyber range or computer test bed environments. Expertise in designing and configuring computer networks, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, VPNs, and VLANs, is essential. The contractor will also need to demonstrate experience in providing enterprise network engineering and support for campus area network facilities, including the creation and planning of policies and procedures. Experience with wireless infrastructure supporting 802.11x, 3G, and 4G wireless technologies is also required, particularly in relation to the MuTC Wireless Network. Additionally, the contractor should have experience configuring and managing Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) nodes. An active TS/SCI Security Clearance is mandatory for this position, which operates primarily in an office environment utilizing standard office equipment.
