As a Senior Network Engineer at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Defense's mission to ensure national security. This position is part of the US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X), a program dedicated to enhancing intelligence information sharing among mission partners and addressing emerging global threats. You will be joining a dynamic and internationally dispersed team that directly supports combatant commands and their operations. Your work will involve collaborating with network staff to ensure the reliable operation of software and systems, defining business requirements, and resolving any issues that arise in the business systems. In the acquisition and deployment phase, you will design and define network architecture for both new and existing systems, perform complex network development tasks, and participate in system upgrades. You will also be responsible for developing tests to ensure that networks meet user requirements and for providing documentation on network configurations. Your operational management duties will include identifying and resolving network problems, providing training and technical guidance, and maintaining knowledge of relevant technologies.
