About the position

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients solve their business challenges by transforming their organizations and accelerating mission execution through emerging and disruptive technologies, innovative business models, and retooled program operations. This position is based onsite in Radford, VA, and focuses on the implementation and sustainment of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools. You will be working in a datacenter environment that supports two separate Department of Defense (DoD) networks. Your responsibilities will include network management, analysis, troubleshooting, and the development and maintenance of local operating procedures and policies. You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining network automation and scripts, as well as monitoring the ongoing operation of the network. In this role, you will leverage your experience with network management, analysis, and troubleshooting tools, as well as your knowledge of Data Center Management. You will have the opportunity to train junior team members and will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, experience in implementing and maintaining security management strategies, particularly with DISA STIGs, is preferred but not required. You will also be responsible for developing project documentation, including standard operating procedures, project plans, and network diagrams.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or other relevant major.
  • 5+ years of network engineering experience.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
  • Must live locally in Radford, VA or be willing to relocate.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DISA STIGs for security management strategies.
  • Experience in Data Center Management.
