GDIT is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the JSP ETM-NG program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and is not eligible for telecommuting; the employee must report full-time onsite. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. Your role will involve designing, planning, and building communications networks, configuring routers, switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems, and managing VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols. In this role, you will coordinate hardware and software improvements for LAN/WAN systems, monitor the network using industry-leading technologies, and provide innovative methods and technical solutions through the engineering design process. You will analyze customer requirements and deliver technical solutions to complex problems, perform maintenance and upgrades on networks, and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining system backup and recovery capabilities. Additionally, you will coordinate the acquisition of necessary hardware and software, evaluate new communications technologies, and provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel. To be successful in this position, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in Network Administration. You must also possess IAT Level II certification and one of the following networking certifications: Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP), or Aruba. Hands-on experience with Aruba networking systems is essential, and you must be willing to work onsite as required.
