About The Position
GDIT is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the JSP ETM-NG program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This position is critical in advancing the Department of Defense's mission to ensure national security. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating IT infrastructure and systems to ensure they meet both company and customer quality standards. This role requires a full-time onsite presence due to the sensitive nature of the work involved. In this position, you will design, plan, and build communications networks, configuring routers, switches, and firewalls for both LAN and WAN systems, as well as VPN concentrators. You will coordinate hardware and software improvements, monitor the network using industry-leading technologies, and provide innovative technical solutions. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing customer requirements, performing maintenance and upgrades on networks, and ensuring compliance with policies while maintaining system backup and recovery capabilities. Additionally, you will be tasked with evaluating new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities and providing guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel. This role is essential for maintaining network integrity and connectivity, and you will play a key role in the acquisition of necessary hardware and software, as well as subcontractor services.
