About the position

The Senior Network Engineer at CVS Health will play a pivotal role in shaping the enterprise-level network architecture. This position is responsible for executing a comprehensive strategy and tactical plan that ensures a resilient and scalable network infrastructure, capable of meeting the evolving business needs of the organization. The Senior Network Engineer will focus on operationalizing investments to reduce the mean time to repair and the time between incidents, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the network operations. In this role, the engineer will act as a technical leader, gathering and defining both business and technical requirements to meet expectations in the most effective and economical manner. The candidate will be tasked with establishing testing strategies, standards, and objectives that align with the broader IT goals of the company. This position requires a proactive approach to network engineering, ensuring that the systems in place are not only functional but also optimized for performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise network engineering, with extensive experience in deploying monitoring and alerting tools across various platforms. Leadership experience in managing diverse project teams is essential, as is familiarity with advanced network engineering solutions utilizing a range of product platforms such as Cisco, F5, CheckPoint, Palo Alto, zScaler, NetBrain, and NetScout. The Senior Network Engineer will also be expected to contribute to the design of connectivity solutions for public cloud services, enhancing the company's cloud capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a holistic strategy and tactical plan for network implementation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with enterprise network engineering implementation and design.
  • 3+ years experience deploying various tool sets for monitoring and alerting.
  • 2+ years experience leading diverse project teams.
  • 2+ years experience with advanced network engineering solutions using platforms like Cisco, F5, CheckPoint, Palo Alto, zScaler, NetBrain, and NetScout.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing connectivity to public cloud services providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Previous work with vendor management.
  • Advanced Cisco and/or Palo Alto training and certifications.
