About the position

The Senior Network Engineer is a key technical leader responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the datacenter and hybrid cloud network and security infrastructure. This role involves solving complex problems in a collaborative environment and acting as a trusted advisor to various teams and management. The engineer will promote the adoption of innovative technologies and mentor stakeholders to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of the network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of datacenter and hybrid cloud network infrastructure.
  • Maintain and optimize network security infrastructure.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to infrastructure and operations teams.
  • Mentor technical leaders and stakeholders on best practices and technologies.
  • Evangelize the adoption of forward-looking technologies and methods.
  • Design highly available, high-performance, and scalable redundant networks.
  • Manage ISP relationships and oversee IP address management (IPAM).
  • Implement and manage multi-site or multi-pod ACI solutions.
  • Design and deploy IPv6 in enterprise and data center environments.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and data center failover architectures.
  • Conduct capacity planning and forecasting.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or a related engineering field with strong academic performance.
  • CCIE certification in relevant technologies is required.
  • 15+ years of experience in cloud computing and/or data center operations.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with multi-site or multi-pod ACI implementation.
  • Proficient in network security technologies including IDS, IPS, and DDoS protection.
  • Expertise in designing highly available and scalable networks.
  • Strong knowledge of OSPF and BGP protocols.
  • Experience with F5 load balancers at scale.
  • Proficient in Cisco Networking and Cisco Nexus.
  • Experience with automation frameworks like Terraform and Ansible.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting IoT-driven workloads.
  • Knowledge of containerization and load balancing techniques.
  • Familiarity with monitoring platforms and operating system hardening.
