As a Senior Network Engineer with Rocket Software, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and fast-paced IT organization dedicated to delivering exceptional service to software development labs and internal departments. Your primary mission will be to ensure that employees have reliable access to communication systems, enabling them to perform at their highest potential. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing equipment installation plans based on specifications, maintaining each component of the network, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will monitor and maintain Rocket Software's corporate network and voice components, ensuring that all network routers, switches, and related equipment are functioning optimally and adhering to corporate and industry best practices. As a technical leader in networking infrastructure, you will collaborate with a team to design complex infrastructure solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include identifying, analyzing, and resolving system issues, as well as reporting on deficiencies in configuration, processes, and documentation. You will develop and recommend corrective actions to enhance network performance and reliability. Additionally, you will work closely with senior team members to influence and suggest improvements in technical solutions while also mentoring junior team members to foster their growth and development in the field. In this role, you will maintain and monitor the network infrastructure for availability and performance, evaluate new networking technologies and strategies, and participate in project planning and delivery activities. You will manage multiple projects and work streams concurrently, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Your expertise will be crucial in responding to network and voice-related incidents, troubleshooting issues, and providing remediation plans. You will also maintain standard operating procedures, diagrams, and maintenance plans for network and voice operations, collaborating with third-party support and service vendors to ensure the network remains operational.
