Our client, a high-tech company that works on numerous projects throughout the world, mostly related to homeland security and defense, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer in Fort Worth, TX. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and managing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring system security and integration with current applications, and supporting network and operations departments with new technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with Next Generation versions of Cisco, F5, Palo Alto/Juniper on-prem equipment, and cloud-based services. This position is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire role, requiring 4 days onsite in Fort Worth, with a pay rate of $65-70/hr. In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will be tasked with architecting and maintaining solutions for both on-prem and cloud environments, addressing requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and performance. The engineer will also be responsible for automating installations and implementations for provisioning and operating infrastructure in a reliable and repeatable manner. The position requires 24x7 on-call rotation availability and collaboration with a team of architects and engineers, acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Network, Datacenter, and related requests. The engineer will create functional design specifications for on-prem and cloud reference architectures and assist with other network and related project deliverables as needed. Regular system maintenance and enhancements will also be part of the responsibilities, ensuring the long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
