About the position

The Senior Network Engineer at Robert Half is a critical role responsible for managing and optimizing the company's network infrastructure. This position requires a highly skilled and self-directed professional with extensive experience in Cisco technologies and network management. The engineer will work independently, ensuring the reliability and performance of network systems while collaborating with internal teams and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement network architecture, including Core/Distribution/Access, Routing/Switching, WAN/WADS/WFAS, IP-VPN/DMVPN, VoIP/QoS, and more.
  • Establish and enforce standards, policies, configuration guidelines, and procedures for network and security systems infrastructure.
  • Manage performance tuning and capacity planning of production systems to optimize architecture and computing resources.
  • Provide architecture and technology insight assistance and respond to inquiries from internal departments and organizations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to adopt proactive Monitoring and Notification of Fault/Event management using tools and programs.
  • Implement improved methods and tools for troubleshooting and researching problems.
  • Manage the Network and Security Infrastructure Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery.
  • Regularly conduct assessments of the network and cloud environments to identify and address critical deficiencies.
  • Collaborate closely with Infosec teams to ensure that designs adhere to information security best practices and organizational requirements.
  • Mentor and coach other members of the IT team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage vendor relationships, vendor-driven projects, and outsourcing activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry.
  • Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Routers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Cisco Technologies, AB Testing, Backup Technologies, and Computer Hardware.
  • Experience in Configuration Management, Datacenter, and Cisco Firewall is essential.
  • Should hold Cisco CCNA and/or Cisco CCNP certifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Must have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.
