As a Senior Network Engineer with Rocket Software, you will be an integral part of a global, fast-paced IT organization dedicated to providing world-class service to software development labs and internal departments. Your primary mission will be to ensure that employees have access to reliable communication systems, enabling them to perform at their highest level. You will be responsible for implementing equipment installation plans based on specifications, maintaining each component of the network, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Your role will involve monitoring and maintaining Rocket Software's corporate network and voice components, assessing the functionality of network routers, switches, and related equipment to ensure compliance with corporate and industry standard best practices. In this position, you will act as a technical leader in networking infrastructure, collaborating with a team to design complex infrastructure solutions and deliver projects on time and within budget. You will identify, analyze, and resolve system issues, reporting on deficiencies in configuration, process, and documentation while developing and recommending corrective actions. Additionally, you will work closely with senior team members to influence and suggest improvements in technical solutions, as well as mentor junior team members to foster their growth and development in the field. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and monitoring network infrastructure for availability and performance, evaluating new networking technologies and strategies, and participating in project planning and delivery activities. You will manage multiple projects and work streams concurrently, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Responding to network and voice-related incidents, troubleshooting issues, and providing remediation plans will also be key aspects of your role. You will maintain standard operating procedures, diagrams, and maintenance plans for network and voice systems, and collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure operational continuity of the network.
