About the position

The Senior Network Engineer at Raft will be responsible for designing and installing both internal and external networks, testing and evaluating network systems to identify and resolve issues, and implementing improvements. This role requires a strong background in network engineering, with a focus on customer satisfaction and collaboration within a passionate team of problem solvers.

Responsibilities

• Design and install internal and external networks.
• Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
• Mentor and lead junior network engineers and team members.

Requirements

• Ten plus years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Solid experience with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Juniper routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with WANs, encryption devices, VxLAN, multicast, BGP, OSPF, and Wireshark.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Obtain CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification within the first 90 days of employment.
