As a Senior Network Engineer with Rocket Software, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and fast-paced IT organization dedicated to delivering exceptional service to software development labs and internal departments. Your primary mission will be to ensure that employees have reliable access to communication systems, enabling them to perform at their highest level. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing equipment installation plans based on specifications, maintaining each component of the network, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will monitor and maintain Rocket Software's corporate network and voice components, ensuring that all network routers, switches, and related equipment are functioning optimally and adhering to corporate and industry best practices. As a technical leader in networking infrastructure, you will collaborate with a team to design complex infrastructure solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will identify, analyze, and resolve system issues, reporting on deficiencies in configuration, process, and documentation, while also developing and recommending corrective actions. Your role will involve mentoring junior team members and influencing the design of technical solutions through collaboration with senior team members. This position requires a proactive approach to evaluating new networking technologies and strategies, as well as participating in project planning and delivery activities. You will be expected to maintain and monitor the network infrastructure for availability and performance, respond to network and voice-related incidents, and provide remediation plans. Additionally, you will work on multiple projects concurrently, maintain standard operating procedures, and collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure the network remains operational.
