About the position

The Senior Network Engineer role at EPAM offers an opportunity to work within the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering organization, focusing on both Cloud and On-premise Engineering Infrastructure networks. This position is pivotal in enabling online services teams to build, deploy, and manage infrastructure and services for a vast user base. The role emphasizes providing world-class tools and platforms to enhance developer experiences and streamline application management at a massive scale.

Responsibilities

• Work with Cloud and On-premise Engineering Infrastructure networks.
• Enable online services teams to build, deploy, and manage infrastructure and services.
• Provide tools and platforms to improve developer experiences.
• Ensure efficient and reliable network operations in large-scale environments.

Requirements

• Extensive expertise in managing and configuring the Palo Alto platform, including advanced troubleshooting and security policy management.
• Proficient in advanced dynamic network protocols such as BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN.
• In-depth understanding of global network infrastructures, including branch office connectivity to data centers and cloud service providers.
• Experience with cloud networking solutions including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with automation pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or custom scripts.
• Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewall configuration and VPN setup.
• Experience dealing with incidents, outages, and disaster recovery processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Project management experience in leading network projects from initiation to completion.
• Ability to identify and resolve network performance bottlenecks.
