About the position

The Senior Network Engineer will be a key member of a datacenter-focused team within a Texas-based financial organization. This role involves working on exciting projects, particularly the rebuild of a datacenter, utilizing expertise in Cisco NextGen products and spine-and-leaf architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale datacenter environments, handling tasks from routing and switching to firewall build-outs, and will be instrumental in the transition to a more advanced network architecture.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the rebuild of the datacenter using Cisco NextGen products.
• Implement and manage spine-and-leaf architecture in the datacenter.
• Configure and maintain Cisco Nexus and Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller.
• Oversee the maintenance of Firepower firewalls in a large environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and project execution.

Requirements

• Experience working in a spine-and-leaf datacenter environment.
• Proficiency with Cisco VXLAN technology.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller.
• Strong experience in maintaining Firepower firewalls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Holding a CCNP or CCDP certification, or willingness to obtain one within two years.
