Taro is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its US Network Group located in Hawthorne, NY. This position will report directly to the Senior Network Resource/Manager and requires flexibility in work hours to effectively coordinate with teams across the US and India. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for leveraging their extensive knowledge of LAN, WAN, Security, and VoIP technologies to enhance the network infrastructure of the organization. In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will collaborate with various business units and IT functions to assess, recommend, and deploy appropriate solutions for network connectivity and access control. They will also monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve any network-related issues that arise. A key aspect of this position involves coordinating with external vendors to manage services, ensuring maximum uptime and stability for the network. Additionally, the Senior Network Engineer will work closely with global teams on network and security initiatives, contributing to the overall effectiveness and security of the organization's network systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of LAN/WLAN/SDWAN technologies, as well as Layer 2 and Layer 3 network theories and protocols. They will have experience with router and switching configurations, management, and maintenance, as well as firewall technologies including Cisco ASA, Firepower, Palo Alto, and CheckPoint. Proficiency in troubleshooting spanning tree protocols and routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP is essential. The candidate should also be familiar with VoIP technologies, particularly Cisco Unity Call Manager, and have knowledge of wireless technologies, network security, and VPN configurations. Strong leadership and team management skills are crucial, as the Senior Network Engineer will lead cross-functional teams and navigate complex challenges effectively. Furthermore, the candidate should stay current with industry trends and advancements in clinical trial methodologies, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and external partners.
