About the position

The Senior Network Engineer at Reyes Holdings is responsible for planning, designing, building, installing, configuring, managing, securing, documenting, and supporting network systems across Data Center, Distribution Center, and Cloud environments. This role aims to provide resilient and scalable IT services to support the company's growth, focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement through ITIL-based processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end ownership and accountability for the service delivery, maintenance, and support of the global LAN and WAN network infrastructure.
  • Design, build, manage, optimize, support, and maintain the global enterprise network environment including LAN/WAN Connectivity, Wireless Network, Cloud Network, Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, and SD-WAN.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and system configuration documentation, including diagrams and knowledge base articles.
  • Build, maintain, and audit documentation related to policies, standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage software and hardware upgrades and EOL/EOS refresh as part of life cycle management.
  • Develop and execute automation playbooks to drive Software Defined Networking through scripting and automation tools.
  • Identify and remediate network performance issues and act as an escalation point for technical issues.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical expertise and support for the IT Service Center and Managed Service Providers.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for operational support as needed.
  • Adhere to IT Service Management processes including incident, problem, and change control procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field and 4+ years of experience in LAN, WAN, Network Security, and Wireless Network Infrastructure, or High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with supporting technologies such as Infoblox, scripting, and patching.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IGRP, EIGRP, and PBR.
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 network concepts including spanning tree, VPC, and VLAN design.
  • Experience with Wireless technologies and Network security/VPN/SSL technologies.
  • Strong technical support, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working with a managed service provider.
  • Proficiency in Cyber Security frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks and/or NIST.
  • Working knowledge of setting up networks and network security within Microsoft cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of WAN technologies including MPLS, DMVPN, IPSEC, and SDWAN.
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCVP, or CCIE.
